Chiredzi-based preacher Prophet Anointed Talent, popularly known as Chifinhu, reportedly abandoned plans to attend businessman Sir Wicknell Chivhayo’s funeral in Harare and returned to Masvingo, where a hailstorm later caused damage to property and infrastructure.

Chifinhu, the leader of Prophetic Generation Global Church, had reportedly travelled to Harare to attend the funeral proceedings and was staying at Jameson Hotel ahead of the gathering at Gletwin.

However, according to accounts circulating online, the preacher suddenly changed his plans, saying he felt spiritually compelled to return to Masvingo.

“Handichaende. Something bad is about to happen. I am supposed to be there,” he reportedly said.

He subsequently left Harare and travelled to Masvingo, where a hailstorm reportedly damaged homes, business premises and vehicles, while trees and power infrastructure were also affected.

Reports further indicate that Chifinhu assisted some people affected by the storm and took steps to help protect lives and property during the aftermath.

The reported timing of his decision has attracted public attention. However, the account of a spiritual prompting and its connection to the storm has not been independently verified by The Frontline.

PROPHETIC GENERATION GLOBAL CHURCH

Chifinhu leads Prophetic Generation Global Church, which has several assemblies across Zimbabwe, particularly in Masvingo Province.

The preacher has continued to hold religious gatherings and events that bring together congregants for worship, prayer and fellowship.

NIGHT OF CELEBRATION DRAWS ATTENTION IN CHIREDZI

On 29 August 2026, Chifinhu hosted a Night of Celebration at Tsovani Primary Grounds in Chiredzi.

The event featured popular musicians Mark Ngwazi and Dorcas Moyo, alongside Chifinhu, under the banner of Prophet Anointed Talent Ministries.

Promotional material advertised free admission and presented the gathering as a celebration of the birthdays of the prophet and prophetess, combining gospel ministry, music and celebration.

The event was promoted as a major gathering for worshippers and music fans in Chiredzi.

MUTARE TO HOST MHEPO DZIKAMA ON SATURDAY

Meanwhile, Prophetic Generation Global Church’s Mutare Assembly is scheduled to host Mhepo Dzikama on Saturday, 17 October 2026, at the Mountain of Bethel.

The gathering will run from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm, with Prophet Anointed Elijah listed as the preacher.

The event takes its theme from Mark 4:39: “And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.”

According to the event poster, enquiries can be made on 071 642 1191.

CHIFINHU TO LEAD MASVINGO SERVICE ON SUNDAY

On Sunday, 18 October 2026, Chifinhu is expected to lead a Prophetic Sunday Service under Prophetic Generation Global Church’s Masvingo Assembly.

The service is scheduled to begin at 12:30 pm at Chief’s Hall, near Council Rank Offices, in Masvingo, according to the promotional poster.

The gathering will provide an opportunity for congregants to meet for worship and spiritual fellowship.

APOSTLE ANOINTED ROYAL TO LEAD CHIREDZI MOUNTAIN GATHERING

Also scheduled for Sunday, 18 October, is the Mountain Experience Sunday to Judgment gathering at Chitsanga Mountain in Chiredzi.

The event is advertised to run from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm, with Apostle Anointed Royal expected to lead the gathering.

Chifinhu will not be attending the Chiredzi event, as he is scheduled to conduct the Prophetic Sunday Service in Masvingo on the same day.

The two Sunday gatherings will therefore take place in different locations, with the respective preachers leading their programmes.
